Teaching Methods
My teaching involves a combination of practical examples and instruction and a series of self-developed worksheets. Through this, the student learns theoretical and reading skills, as well as improving their listening and practical abilities. Students are also given practice of playing along with music, an important factor for musical collaboration and recording. In addition to the material I provide, students are encouraged to bring their own music or books (such as grading books) into lessons. This allows the lessons to be personalized to suit individual tastes or needs and makes the lessons more enjoyable for the student.
Teaching is done in my drum studio on a one-to-one basis, meaning students can learn at their own pace and gain the most from each lesson. All age ranges and abilities are welcome - even complete beginners!
